Talking Radio is a dynamic and ambitious business with over 30 years of experience in two-way Radio Telephony communications training within the Aviation, Marine and Operational Industries. Our focus is on ensuring a professional radio standard is maintained for all those Operators who use mobile, or fixed two-way radios as part of their communication business model.

Partnerships and Affiliations
We are proud of our partnership with Stenden South Africa in hosting Two-Way Radio Telephony Training in Disaster Management. This course is part of the requirement towards obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Disaster Relief Management. Stenden South Africa and Talking Radio are committed to the supply of training and education for all those personnel who intend being part of this exciting Programme.
Talking Radio is proud to be an Affiliate of STC-SA Marine Education Centre based in Cape Town, South Africa, in the supply of two-way radio communications for Offshore operations. This working relationship is geared towards promoting a professional two-way communication standard for all Operators of Aeronautical Radios during helicopter Operations to and from an Offshore Installation.
Talking Radio is pleased to be a member of the International Civil Aviation English Association (ICAEA), whose mission it is to promote English as the Official Language of the Skies. Through our interaction as a member of this association, we intend ensuring that our own Aviation English training platform meets the latest updates for all our Clients on a global standard.
The South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) was established on the 1st April 1998 under the SAMSA Act 5 of 1998. SAMSA’s obligation is to:
– Ensure safety of life and property at sea
– Prevent and combat pollution from ships in the marine environment
– Promote the Republic’s maritime interests.
Talking Radio is a SAMSA accredited training institution in terms of Part 4, section 85 of the Merchant Shipping (Safe Manning, Training and Certification) Regulations, 2013, as amended. This accreditation allows Talking Radio to present Short Range Certificate courses to the general public or professional mariners.
Talking Radio is proud to be an associate member of the South African Oil and Gas Alliance (SAOGA). This organisation actively works with government and parastatal entities to ensure that public policy and infrastructure supports a competitive environment for upstream and midstream suppliers. Part of the associated services which Talking Radio facilitates includes the supply of:
(a) VHF radio (Aeronautical) certification for all Helicopter Landing Officers and Radio Operators working on offshore installations.
(b) VHF radio (Short Range) certification for all applicable Marine personnel in accordance with Mariners notice no.4 of 2016.
