In order to be competent in Radio Telephony which is primarily defined as two-way radio communications, the candidate needs to be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate in a proficient manner while on frequency.
This requires a level of Proficiency when communicating in General English, Aviation English and Radio Telephony (RT).
This practical test is conducted by a certified Examiner who checks the candidates understanding of radio procedures while using standardized phrases. The outcome is aimed towards the candidate achieving correct, clear and concise transmissions within the Aviation, Maritime and other radio dependent operations.
